WHY BE SAVED?
If you died today are you 100% sure you would go to Heaven?
If you were standing in front of the gates of Heaven and Jesus said “why should I let you into MY heaven?” what would you say?
The answers to those questions will determine your eternity.
HOW TO BE SAVED
Giving your life to Jesus is the most important decision you will ever make – your eternal life is at stake.
Romans 3:23 says “for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”.
We’ve all sinned. The payment for sinning is an eternity in hell.
Romans 6:23 says “but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
But you get to go to Heaven if…you ask!
Romans 10:13 says “For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
It’s as easy as asking! All you have to talk to God like you talk to a friend.
Romans 5:8 declares, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
He loved us so much that Jesus died for us even though we were sinners. He didn’t ask you to clean up first. You can be saved just like you are. Asking you to clean up first would be like asking a fish to clean itself up before it gets caught!
It doesn’t matter what you’ve done in your past. He loves you no matter what and He’s waiting for you to just ask!
Is there any reason why you would want to spend eternity in Hell?
Then Pray this Prayer: Jesus, I ask you to be my Savior and Lord, Forgive me of my sins, and give me the Gift of Eternal Life.
NOW WHAT?
So you’ve said the prayer? That’s great! Now what do you do?
1) Find a Bible believing church
2) Read your Bible daily
a. Maybe start in Proverbs (in the very middle of the Bible). There are 31 Proverbs and there are no more than 31 days in a month. On the 5th of the month, read Proverbs 5. On the 6th of the month…read Proverbs 6!
b. Or try reading in Mark – It’s a great one too!
3) Pray! – Prayivng is nothing more than talking to God just like you talk to a friend. There’s no reason to try to be formal or loud. Tell him what you’re worried about, tell him what you’re thankful for today, and tell him what you’re thinking about. He WANTS to have a relationship with you!
